Does anybody have any tips/tricks/knowledge on the removal/reinstallation of a middle drive wheel on a MTH PRR M1A Mountain Railking edition. I stripped out one of the middle drive wheel-linkage connection points. i have found a replacement screw/linkage (due to my kids running the train off the elevated section of my layout last year and damaging the linkage. I went to straighten out the bent linkage and reinstall and upon reinstalling, i stripped out the drive wheel screw mount. This is by far my favorite engine and i would like to get it fixed before next christmas so if anybody has any ideas/tips it will be much appreciated

Need to use a wheel puller designed or capable of removing a train wheel. Just like working on a Lionel PW. Make sure you align so that eccentric is correct when reinstalling. G
You might not have to pull the wheel, I seem to remember the hole for the linkage was not threaded on some models, it was a plain hole with a metal threaded insert glued in. I might be wrong and this It was along time ago. Where are you going to get a replacement wheel from ?
I would not start by pulling the wheel. Remember, you have to get it back on quartered correctly or you'll have more issues.
You can repair the thread with a Helical Insert. You can also fill the hole with something like JB-Weld and then drill and tap the correct threads again.
