I just purchased a brand new MTH Premier E4 CNW Steam Engine PS2.  Everything works perfectly but can't get it to blow smoke.  I've repacked the wick literally 8 times and can't figure it out.  It makes smoke but doesn't blow it.  I've made sure the hole to the fan is clear of wick material as well as there is clear opening to the stack.  Any suggestions?  I've checked the wiring to the fan motor and it appears intact.  Smoke eventually starts coming out of the bottom of the engine.

Thanks,

Mike

My issue just took on an additional problem.  When I removed some of the wicking material, I accidentally pinched the smoke motor wire putting the engine back together. I discovered the issue  because the engine now makes a low humming noise when I put it on the track with DCS.  I first fixed the smoke unit wire, then removed the smoke unit entirely, but I still have this humming noise and now I cannot run the engine.  I hope I didn't fry the board by pinching the wire.  Any thoughts?
