how do you get the GP40 lights to stay on (front lights), not sure what you call them. Its the lights when you press horn, they are the ones that flash back and forth when sounding the horn and then stay on. Mine work for sounding horn, but do not stay on when engine is running around layout.

If you are using DCS, you go under control : Ditch lights: and select On.
ditch lights, that's what they are called, thanks. Select ON then press thumb wheel?
OOOOHHHHH!!!!! Thank you Joe!!! Thank you Rolling for asking the question!!
I bought a SD40-2 from a Forum member earlier this year. He told me up front everything works but the ditch lights. I told him, that was quite alright; he had offered it at a great price I thought. Besides, none of my first generation diesels have ditch light, and I never owned a model of that modern of an engine to have them.
When running it, I see just what Rolling described, but I just though something is intermittent. I'll have to put the SD40-2 back on the track and hunt for Ditch Lights under Control.

no... err ...yes
Select the "on" by pressing the softkey #3 right below it.
It's on page 54 of the DCS owners' manual
