Glossy Pats version with incorrect all yellow handrails was really messed up.

Think all have black roofs. Probably too costly to switch paint for a handful of units or maybe not enough interest.

I like the black but too much is showing on the cab roof of 2558. If I ever buy anymore MTH, I will have to see the actual item ready for sale. No more pre-orders.

SIRT, thanks for the info I knew you would know about this!!  Yes, I also was surprised about the yellow handrails and glossy finish. I do not like the gloss finish personally. Thinking about getting another road number sounds like without the gloss? I agree on the pre orders, I bought Lionel's S-2 switcher a few years ago and was blown away at the crapping colors. Actually, sent it back, I should have known better!!! It just sure would be nice to get what we expect when ordering, I mean at $500.00 a piece that's a lot of $$

Thanks for the input, Jeff

All my diesels except the B&O sunburst GP7 are not heavily weathered. I like diesels to look fairly new. On the 2558, I left the gloss area on the housing side service doors, so I have a little shine. Everything else is dulled down.

I had Marios on order but canceled when you posted #2558. I didn't know during pre-order 10 months ago that dealers all had different road numbers.

Things are no longer selling as O scale prices have skyrocketed into an unobtainable zone for many. If a dealer has an actual item pictured like Muffins, I will decide at that time if to buy it going forward.

I just had to have 2558 over 500.00 as you can see why!     Should be in the 349.00 range I.M.O.

Only took 53 years to get a model of one.

That is awesome that you have a model of "your" unit.

I did the same with the MTH NYSW GP40-2 that runs here in Utica...

Thanks!
