I have an older set of MTH F3's I was wondering if it would be possible to up grade them to PS3. I would like to run them with my DCS rather than conventional.

Are you looking to do this yourself or have someone do it for you? PS1 to PS3 upgrades are pretty common and generally easier to do on diesels depending on the feature you have and want.
I would prefer to have it done for me if it does not cost to much.
Do you have catalog numbers? They could be very useful in figuring out exactly what you have to start. For now, I will presume the F3 set is an ABA with a possible additional B unit. Usually the A units have motors and the B units do not. But check: there are variations.
That said, each powered unit will require a DCS diesel kit. They will end up as independent units with their own addresses. The non-powered units may not require anything unless they have smoke units or operating couplers.
PS3 Kits WERE in the $200 range each, if you could find them. Installation is extra.

Chris; No I dont have a stock number the box they in was for ABA Santa Fe set, I tried to find the STK number no luck. there is only 1 powered the rest are dummies all they do is pick up power and send it to the powered A unit.
Yes they can be upgrade with a PS-3 diesel kit. Wired so the dummy units would at least have direction light and coupler. THe dummies do not send power to the Lead A, they pickup power for the CV board in the dummy for lights. Normally the 4 pin harness sends back control for powered trail units, or in your case most likely directional head light and coupler control if it has proto coupler. G
