I haven't been able to get my class lamps and number boards to light up again. There is some info in the MTH DCS booklet, but frankly it reads like stereo instructions for my poor brain. Apparently I need to use the buttons on the DCS remote below the screen, but I do not want to screw something else up. Thanks.

Look for LNB on the soft keys. pushing it toggles between ON and OFF.
Have you turned on the light via remote? It is #7 reads: HDLT
Secondly, if that doesn't work...reset the engine via remote? Menu, Advanced, RESET ENGINE, FEATURE RESET, select engine, enter to confirm, RESET!!
Thanks for some help. I did try the headlight button, but it only is operating the headlight, nothing else. Perhaps once I get the class lamps and number boards to light, they would go on and off with the headlight button. If I have to I guess I will reset the engine. I hope by doing that it doesn't stop some of the other features I like, like the sound of slack action when an engine pulls away.

So am I to keep pushing all the buttons below the screen until I find this?
If it isn't on the first screen, push the arrow button to get more. if it doesn't appear after two arrows, push the "More" button and you will get the complete list to scroll through.

OK I pushed all the buttons S1 thru S5 and finally saw some response on S5, but I did not find LNB
When it says press select. What do you press??
S5 is the arrow. You should be able to push it 3 times to get 15 different soft key commands. Then the "More " shows up above S4, giving you the complete list. What is the model # of the engine?

20-3500-1 this engine was in a set. with cars,
I am not sure I understand the problem if they were working and stopped or never worked, or sometimes work.
I have had problems with some of my number boards flickering on some of my Premier ALCO PA's. I use the DCS wi-fi app, no longer the hand held remote. When you get to the detail screen, similar to the soft keys, you can see the various on / off switches. I have tried random combinations of the various lights and can somehow get it to stop flickering. While that may sound a bit frustrating, and it is, it has worked and solved the problem for me.
The manual doesn't seem to have the Soft Key list, only the Function list for DCC., so I guess I'm a the end of my ability to offer help. A feature reset may or may not help.
Thanks for your input. Yes, the manual doesn't give any info for DCS it tells you to go to the operators manual which is useless as well.
When I first got the engine these lights worked fine, somehow they turned themselves off.
