I went to York with anticipations of being able to get parts that I needed for repairs from the MTH Parts booth in the Orange hall.  HA-HA to me for being so silly in my hopes.

I needed 3 coupler shafts because the knuckles broke off - NOPE.  No shafts, no knuckles.  Jeff advised me to call Midge this week.  Jeff sort of has me wondering though because when he looked at the trucks that I brought he wasn't sure that I could still get "that style" of shank.  WHAT?

I also was hoping to get some replacement lights for my blinking construction accessory but they can't be had either.

So I was 0 for 5.

What is the production number of this engine. There are those here that might be able to help but we need to know exactly what engine you are working on.

Is that still an option?

Dream on!   While they have some sort of on-line ordering, you can never find a parts list or diagrams to get a part number.  Pretty hard to do an on-line order without a part number!

hello Chuck Sartor.......

I am sorry things didnt work out with the kato 2-8-2. I didnt know you sell MTH parts as need a few parts as spares to keep my railking imperial challenger running. Do you have such parts like 2 motor plates p/n Bl-1200001, 1 spacer lD-1030001, 1 rubber gasket ring (for smoke unit), 1 headlight lens FA-1230020, pick up insulator( bottom) (black plastic)BD-0000001, 2 roller pick ups BD-0000025.  Do you carry motors and engine drive trucks (front and back) ?

Dear Chuck and all,

Here is a pic of the same truck with pickups on another locomotive.  It's from a dummy engine lighting upgrade kit that I came across at a swap meet and kept a while - then when I went to put it to use I discovered it was missing the pickup insulators.  Well you get what you pay for I guess...

There are dual pickups per truck.  Chuck, if you have these insulators I'll be forever grateful.

Thanks to everyone for your help and advice.  I have been in touch with Midge at MTH and while she's nice, I don't think she has this part?  I have an order in with her for a few months now and nothing has shipped so far.
