I resumed O gauge railroading when MTH was making its locomotives with PS1 electronics and offering outstanding newly-tooled models in every catalog. I bought PS1 locomotives, all of which I still own and several of which I run frequently using BCRs. They’ve been trouble-free and have provided an exceptional amount of model railroading for the money.

I don’t buy PS1 models any more but I don’t intend to sell any of my PS1 equipment and I do intend to keep running it. One of my favorites is MTH Premier Pennsylvania Railroad G-5s 4-6-0 #5740 (20-3031-1, MSRP $699.95) delivered in March 1999. When this locomotive came out, I couldn’t wait to get one, and I still think it’s a beauty. Photos and video show it running on my 10’-by-5’ model railroad pulling PRR observation car Quaker City – also PS1.
