I recently came into possession of a MTH PRR "Transfer Diesel" with PS 2. I am really surprised how well detailed the engine is but keep wondering - Why is it called a "TransferDiesel".
In researching the prototype, it appears PRR was almost the only railroad using them. Were they designed just for PRR or they the only ones who liked them?
I also wonder how well they sold for MTH considering so few RR's used them?
What are your thoughts?
