MTH Premier "O" Scale 3-Bay Cylindrical Hopper Cars Announced

June 14, 2023 - M.T.H. Electric Trains will be releasing the 2023 Premier O Scale 3-Bay Cylindrical Hopper Car in five different livery configurations this Fall. Each of these offerings is limited in production and expected to begin shipping to M.T.H. Authorized Retailers in December 2023.

ABOUT THE PREMIER O SCALE 3-BAY CYLINDRICAL HOPPER

A 3-bay cylindrical hopper car is a type of freight railcar used for transporting bulk materials such as grains, coal, ores, and other granular or powdered commodities. It is specifically designed with three separate compartments, or bays, within the cylindrical shape of the car body. Each bay has its own discharge gate at the bottom, allowing for individual control and unloading of the materials.

These hopper cars are commonly used in the railroad industry due to their efficient and cost-effective nature in transporting bulk goods. The cylindrical shape of the car helps to maximize the cargo capacity while maintaining structural integrity.
