Hello Forum, I got this set from a dealer who had this set for 11 years, Brand new never used. Ive come across these issues with the train, everything is shown in the video, Thanks! The video had to be cut from the beginning, it just starts off it connected with the 3 cars and powering it up to move

SO is it a oil problem or Traction problem?

Well I understand But Do i need to oil or just put new traction tires?
Just replace the traction tires and you will see your train run. Without proper new traction tires your train wheels will continue to spin/slip through your tracks.
You should oil it as well at the wheel bearing points on the axle and on either side of the pick up rollers all of which will be covered in your instructions under the lubrication section. Here is a link to the MTH website for the R17.
Sorry for the very late reply guys but Recently just got back to this set. I replace all Traction tires, now all 8 wheels have traction tires, The issue has only slightly improved, With it now being able to move, But still it does the slipping for 4-5 seconds straight before it just "Jumps" and starts moving.
