A number of years ago I purchased a 4 car MTH RailKing Pennsylvania passenger car set that includes a 9289 Baggage, 1672 Coach, Amity Hall Vista Dome and Martha Washington Observation car.  I would like to know when they were made, what catalog they appeared in and anything else I can find out.

Thank you.MTH RailKing Penna 4 Car Set

Thanks Mark.  This set appears in the 2010 Catalog Vol. 1 only while the description for all the 4 car sets claims a baggage, coach, vista dome and observation, the photo of the 4 car Pennsy Set does not show an observation car; nor does it name the cars.  So, for the sake of argument, I will use this information; but, still have questions.

BTW, as an aside, you and others might enjoy this:

Sometimes, and manufacturers always reserve the right to do this, the delivered product does not match the catalog pictures or description. The catalog depiction does show an observation car at the end of the train. It is neither a boat tail nor a platform observation car. It is a blunt end observation car.
