I sent out my PS 2 boards from my 384 Blue Comet set. My son plugged in the teather upside down and shorted it out. As of today MTH has not been able to look at them yet. I was told a few more weeks. So here my set sits all tore apart in the boxes. When I buy new MTh in the future it will be the traditional style. But I do love the sounds and smoke of this set or I would have converted the can motor to run normaly. The whistle recording on this set is unreal. So here I wait!

I have not received my train that was put in the first week of Jan. My LHS told me that the first quarter is always bad for getting your train repaired as everyone brings out the trains for Christmas, thus many repairs are required around this time. He said that Lionel had stopped taking more repairs until March. That was at the beginning of Feb. Oh well, I guess we wait.
I just got a call yesterday , MTH told me that both the boards are toast. They want me to send in the loco and tender as well. They think the mishap caused more damage than just the 2 boards. This has been going on since November. I am almost tempted to convert it to traditional as the money will be about the same.
