From what I've seen, the PS2 shells use little contact springs that touch a foil plate on the frame. That's how the power makes it to the lamps. Could be as many as 8 of them. Just watch out when you take it apart. Also, when switching rail lines (I've done it 3 times now) you may find some carbodies  use a different combination of the springs, depending on what the original RR had specified for lighting.

If they're PS3, then you should find 2-pin connectors in there, but as noted above, they may be powered differently based on the requirement of the specifying RR.
