I have an MTH Z-4000 transformer I purchased used at a show. One throttle works good and the two fixed voltage outputs appear to work good. The second throttle cuts out from time to time, locomotives just stop. The voltage and current go to almost nothing. This happens on several different locomotives. There are local shops that make repairs but I am wondering if anyone has experience similar to this and guidance as whether repairs are worth it or do I cut my losses and going forward just use the one throttle on this transformer and buy a new one.
