Sorry to hear of the issues you had with your new locomotive. Did you opt to contact your dealer about it? When MTH closed their service department, we promised MTH Electric Trains we would provide factory warranty service to the best of our ability for customers who made their new purchase from us. If we cannot, we gladly replace or refund our customer. Does other MTH dealers offer the same? If not, what do they do?

Good news, some checking and at least the US Army version is in stock at MTH as of today, now just to get them to dealers, and then to customers.

I had planned to get the U.S. Army Heavy Pacific, but dropped those plans when I saw that it bears the same cab number as the previous release that I already have
