Mullet River caboose kit assembly

I built one kit, a C&S sidedoor caboose, without any CD or aid other than instruction sheet...I finished it but it was the hardest car kit I have built, and am not sure it is totally "right".  I had to go back and tweak it to keep the roof on, since it has an interior. I have a Southern side door Mullet to build, but have not been anxious to start on it.

Built a Canadian Pacific Mullet River "van"  a while back. Commented to a friend, "It would have been easier to build a real one!"      

They are challenging to build, but everything is there!

Built one of these years ago; annoying and a few errors in the brass and the slot & tab, but not the hardest or most challenging kit out there by any stretch. 

The kits include instructions but he had a fantastic build job on his website with color pictures, etc.

I didn't fool with the brass, since there are no mirrors in my trackwork, where the underneath of the car can be seen running....so I used scribed styrene, and other wood and styrene parts to match the plans.  I found what I thought were gaps in the plans....maybe the video fills in the holes...but no mention was made of gluing the three parts of the roof on my CB&Q/C&S sidedoor together.  One or more roof section would pop up, so I went back and glued them together and then reshaped the top of the sides for a tight but secure fit.  Since he is no longer producing these kits, I am glad I glommed the two sidedoors offered.
