What is the difference between super mode and just more than one TIU ? and can I do it without renumbering the second TIU ? I want to test one weak section.

Super mode allows a engine to run in any tiu zone..
In normal mode the engine must be deleted and re-added to a different tiu or use the read which eventually changes the tiu /engine association.
Back to super mode..... You should be able to test just the one weak section even though the engine may have been added to a different tiu.... The tiu the engine was added to doesn't even have to be powered up.
I'm not sure where you going with .. Can I do it without renumbering the second tiu? if only one is power and in super you should be OK.

I have one channel that as a 30' run from TIU to track side terminal strip. I want to see if shortening this run of wire will help with DCS operation. I have a spare TIU that I wanted to use for this..
