Aside from my Dept. 56 Snow Village, this is my first layout I have actually done. Minus the trains, the cost was under $300. Half of that was spent on hot wire foam cutting tools. All the mountains were made with white styrofoam I picked up at the local furniture stores for free. They were happy to get rid of it. It has a functional waterfall. It has two ready to run trains on different levels, a Cascade Range Logging and a Copper Range Mining. At the very bottom is a non-running porter with 3 v-dumps. It was an after thought and if I ever get the ambition, I will get it running. I will be happy to take all criticism and ideas.

Looks real nice!!
I like your layout a lot! And congratulations on the low expenditure. That's not easy, but it leaves you more to spend on rolling stock, eh?
your rock formations are impressive. You've captured the look well. Nice job.
Great Job!
Looks like you have mastered the Foam Tools

Be careful with that styrofoam it is very flammable!

Hard to believe that's all Styrofoam. It looks like real rock to me. I was thinking that the layout must weigh a ton with all that rock. Now that I know it's not, then I'm not worried any more.
Nice coloring of the rock formations!

Thank you to everyone with the kind words. It is encouraging to hear it from the seasoned hobbyists. You can't make mistakes when carving foam.
