I watched the video yesterday. It’s a great review and applause for adding the fact that you can see and ride behind the R&N in PA. Enjoy your first Legacy Locomotive. I will be watching for future videos.
Hi jason, very entertaining and informative review. The F9 and F7 sets from the 2022 Catalog should have wide appeal given the road names and the fact that they can work on 031 curves. At some point I would like to get a superbase B unit. The picture in the catalog does not due justice the actual color and detail of your Reading and Northern F9. Congrats on the acquisition!

Thanks Dave! The super bass B unit is what really sold me on getting this. Its awesome!

Hello Jason. Great video. I really enjoyed it. I agree with one of the comments: given your affinity for the history of the NS F units, you have to get the Aberdeen & Carolina AB set before they’re gone. I’ll look forward to your review of them…..
I watched the video, and I really loved the introduction with all the funny reactions from your train buddies. Great video Jason. I'm excited for the next video. Can you give us any hints as to what it may be (and when)?
Great video review, Jason. Loved the phone call needed to start it. I too am 99% MTH and would have to make a call too. LOL. Can you tell me if this engine has the BlueTooth feature to run with the Lionel APP?

Dave - This engine does come BlueTooth equipped.

Thanks Jason, because in the catalog it's not shown as Bluetooth capable. It must be a printing error.

Just for clarification, the features the Legacy engines come with (such as Bluetooth, Railsounds, Voice Control, etc.) are displayed in my catalogue as "symbols" at the top of the page for the F9 AB sets and are easily overlooked.
BTW, great looking train - my UP F7 AA set just arrived and will post a video next week.
Thanks Richie, but the symbol for Bluetooth in this engine is not shown in the 2022 catalog or it's web page https://www.lionel.com/product...egacy-f9-ab-2233590/ . After Jason's confirmation I ordered one. I only have a CAB 1 system so having the Bluetooth was a deciding factor for me.
Jason Jason Jason. What have you done? Lionel? and not NS. You are moving to the dark side. LOL.
So.....when will the first Legacy Steam Engine purchase take place?
Clyde can help!

Well done video. Thanks for doing this and posting it. Great looking engine. Loved your backdrop as well!

It's mine, so you're free to use as you like.
Congratulations @jdstucks, Jason, welcome to Lionel Legacy, a fantastic control system. I certainly enjoyed your video, your box opening experience, your uniquely humorous ways, and your descriptions. Now, you’ve shown the sounds, the horn, the ditch lights, all awesome. Now, you also have a feature that I love and that’s the start up sounds, however, you need to add this diesel set to your legacy remote. You go to InFo, name the units, then add the road number, then add DSL, then Legacy, then LRS, and this will bring up the icons on the legacy remote screen, forgive me if I missed a step. Now, turn off the track power, count to ten, then turn the track power back on, you will see the Diesel in sleep mode, press the engine ID, then press gently and hold the button on the bottom left of the remote and listen to the start up mode. It’s cool. Then hold the Aux 1 button down for 5 seconds and listen to the bell/whistle sounds for the scenario set up. Then, when you open the brake slider, turn the red knob, you’ll hear the sounds of the train beginning it’s beautiful journey on your really cool layout. Also, you have choices of 5 bell sounds, 5 horn sounds. Your going to love your really beautiful Legacy Diesel. It’s a Wow. My Sante Fe is at my dealers store now.
Im probably telling you something you already know, but, I do recommend reading the owners manual thoroughly, these a lot there. Now, have fun snd keep the videos coming. Merry Christmas, and Happy Railroading Everyone
Excellent choice, Jason.
