Yesterday afternoon I removed the Burma Shave factory (Menard's Feed and Seed) and Brewery (Woodland Scenics Morison's Doors) to relocate them to the other end of the trainroom.  I began restoring the mountain lake to its original bucolic simplicity.  As you can see, I still have to cure a bad case of leaning-tree-syndrome, but I am well on my way to once again having the quiet, peaceful mountain valley I treasured so much.

The Creedance Clearwater Brewery is temporarily located as shown, in the old, to-be-re-developed car dealer park.  It is close to the other lake, so has its source of "clear mountain water," just with a tiny bit of motorboat exhaust for flavoring now!  The Burma Shave factory is on the floor under the layout for now. Most of area from the area shown from the cathedra land boatyard toward the camera will be totally redone, with new 'Streets roads.  I will probably put the brewery where the current train station (long, single story building a bit further back and to its left) is now, put the Burma Shave factory where the brewery is, and build a nice new train station, perhaps using parts of the old one, in the remaining space for redevelopment.  But not sure yet . . .

WEll, it is a pop up.  What I did was get a large piece of plywood, fit it over the pop up.  I then marked and cut the irregular shape of the lake out of the piece, installed the surrounding part on the layout and applied terrain and scenery.  I painted the cut out piece (oil-based enamel, combination of blue, green, brown, and black) and it just fits in.  Removes in five seconds.

And looks gorgeous.
