Equipment boot camp. Most of my trains hadn't been used in a couple of years, some as long as 10 years due to work, then health issues. So.......I built a new layout during recovery, after that I decided to retire my full time job & work a little at a part time job.

Then.....for my 2018 resolution  I decided last fall to make sure that I run all of my engines and cars  once every 3 months for a hour. When I put them on I'm giving them a good cleaning, lube & oil, check under the hood and clean the windows, also  make sure there is smoke fluid in them, crank up the volume and turn on the smoke.

After the engine is prepared I work on the consist, inspecting, lubricating & cleaning.

So far only one problem so it went in for warranty work , engine had no sound.

I also got my DCS SYSTEM running again after being in storage for so long.

I'm about 1/2 through this first series but I'm having a ball getting some old stuff out, shaking out the cobwebs  and exercising their legs.

I'm enjoying this to say the least.
