Mystery 6418 depresssed center car | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Cruising things for sale on epay, found this #6418 flat car, advertised as a Lionel O gauge car. I included a pic for your assessment. This car measures 15 inches long, and looks right, but the couplers are not like any I have seen in my several reference books on Lionel. They are body mounted and seem too small. The wheels are not right either. I cropped and focused the pic as it was too blurry in the add, it does say 'machinery car' in raised letters, but cannot make out the other writing, it almost looks like it starts with a V, maybe this is a Varney HO car?

Just a regular production car modified for 2 rail scale w/ wheels and body mounted couplers. And not MTH either.
