Looking for the overall dimensions of the 408-22 operating Panthogaph for Lionel O & standard gauge electric when folded down (length/width/height and also how high when unfolded),
Would like to mount this on a Lionel # 8 standard gauge engine and will be doing a special mount bracket from the one hole original to the two hole 408-22 panthograph bys using only the one hole engine mount. Just like the looks of the larger Pamthograph.

I put them on my interurban and was thinking of doing the same to a #8. I'll get you some measurements.
OK Ron here is what I have.
Footprint. 1"1/4,x 1"
Open hight top to bottom. 1"3/4
Closed length. 2"5/16
Closed top to bottom. 1"
The only problem I see is the clearance when you close the pantograph on #8 between the light and the center roof section. You might have to tweak something or just leave it open.
