sir-I was mesing with my nyc h16 and found out if you turn the truck assembly sideways
it pops out-lionel has 2 grooves in the chassis frame that the truck assembly aligm
ns with-turn the truck assembly sideways and slowly lift up=be careful-there is a small
black plastic part that goes over the chassis pin that goes to truck assembly hole.
let me know if there is a spring involved-joe
All fixed, what a poor design.

This method of truck removal is used on many recent diesel models. I personally think that it is an exceedingly elegant design, as it enables you to remove a truck without dismantling half of your locomotive, disturbing screws or gear alignment. The small drive coupler is the only part that you have be careful not to loose.
I'm puzzled as to why you would describe this as a 'poor' design?
sir-at first I would have agreed with you as I found out the truck assembly came off easily by accident-I think Nicole is right now that I think about-you can get to easily fixing something now without using a tech book-sir-did the truck assembly have a spring
placed in the assembly-and if it did does the spring go over the blackplastic or under
that fits over the metal prong-wrong work-joe
Joe no spring, only one screw from the bottom and two from the top of the truck, one to attach the collector, and one common ground. Both removed through the swivel slot in the frame. I say again, poor design for aftermarket repair.
