I sure hope someone can help me because I've exhausted a bunch of web searches with no luck. Ironically, most of the searches took me to the OGR forum, which is a great reflection on OGR! I soon will be receiving a 1991 Weaver Gold Edition E8 AA set. There isn't an item # on any of the boxes I've seen on the net, but they are the Union Pacifics if that helps. From what I've read the motors don't have flywheels, therefore jack rabbit starts and stop on a dime behaviors. I can't find any info on what the Gold series is about other than the engines being scale and limited production. Are there are other amenities with this series? Please correct me if any of the information is wrong so far
The seller does not have the manual and I can't find anything on the net. Does anyone have one they can scan and email me? That would be very helpful
I think the only sounds are bell and horn with QSI electronics, would that be correct?
I guess at some point Weaver switched to flywheel motors, but probably not in the 1991 model year.
Finally, does anyone know where I can find a diagram on how to wire the motors in series. Again, I read doing so will help tame motor behavior to some degree.
With all this, I still purchased these because they are in my price range these days, so I won't be upgrading motors or boards anytime soon!
Thanks...Rich
