Brand new SF diesel arrived with shattered (left, right?) powered side frame. Ugh!!!
Bachmann-Williams has no stock and no possible restocking date.
I'm brand new to this group and thank you all for considering this humble request.

Then you have no choice but to return it where purchased.
Thanks Romiller 49 - it's an auction house bid and they claim it was not broken when it left. I have an ins claim pending.
Postwar Lionel Train Master side frames fit. You just have to enlarge one of the mounting holes. They should be easy to find.
Thank you kindly Lou!! I did order a Lionel sideframe on ebay this very morn.
I don't recall (I've done it before but it's been a couple years). It's pretty easy to figure out once you try and install it.
There is a set of Williams FM side frames on eBay right now.
Thank you RB - do you have the link?
Fyi, you can use postwar sideframes but you may have to drill one new mounting hole.
The forum gets fussy about posting eBay links. Some of the vendor/sponsors don't like it. Search on Williams side frames.
My sincere apologies to the admins and my esteemed fellow collectors. Thank you again RB.
(and thank you as well prrhorseshoecurve!)
Contact Jeff at The Train Tender, 219-874-2281, for the Lionel FM Train Master side frames, they are very reasonably priced, new stock. You have to know whether you need the gear side side frame or the non-gear side frame. I ordered three sets of each side frames about three years ago, they came quickly, I believe the non-gear side required elongating the mounting holes, the gear side I had to lightly grind the mounting tad to clear the driven axle gear. Checked all six side frames no sign of zinc rot, if required paint side frame the color of the other side frames. If you have questions Jeff will help you, he is knowledgeable about what he carries and is very easy to communicate with.
Machito, great information from these guys. sounds like an easy fix. Enjoy.
Yes, thank you all!
I did try Jeff at the Train Tender at the outset but, unfortunately, does not have any in stock.
Welcome machito!
Try Timko's Repair Depot, Ftimko@sbcglobal.net Frank is great guy. 937-429-1461 email is better..
Good luck,
Jeff
Thank you kindly Jeff!!!
I am filing away these names/contacts for future reference.
A pleasant good evening to you and yours!
