I decided this year to allow the little ones to operate the conventional Polar Express on a Christmas scene layout only 20” off the floor. It’s daring I know, but results have been great. They have played carefully and have had big fun.

I imagine many of you shivered when I said the little ones were operating my conv Polar Express. I wanted to report that this was a fruitful and happy decision. While we had numerous derailments, nothing got broken. The giant smiles were worth it.
