My local club is starting to plan a new layout and me with two others are charged with coming up everything electrical and command. I've searched some stuff on the forum but wanted to get some current feedback on what I have in mind.
Firstly some givens on the layout is that we have 2 main loops 1 small isolated (logging) loop and a "yard" area.
The plan is to power each part with a 180w brick through a 360w legacy powermaster and then though the TIU
My first question is there anything wrong with putting a legacy powermaster before a TIU and where should the Leagacy signal come in?
Second question is we were thinking of trying to bypass the TIU in the event we do not have a DCS engine on the track to help with ware and tare on the TIU. With that said to do this I would think I will need a DPDT switch for each channel and would there be any issue of still letting the output of the TIU be connected to the track?
Thirdly they have decided to use Ross/gar-graves track with Ross Custom Switches. Just wanted a current feel on the DZ2500 and controlling them with the CSM2, from what I've gathered it would make it much easier if we also use the breakout boards. If you have any other suggestions to control these in command I would love to hear it.
Thanks again for all suggestions and criticisms
