Pete - IIRC the screens are silver (had to box up to smuggle into the house, Can't quickly double check), they just looks gray in the photo.

MARTYE - Yeah, thankfully the only Polar I need is the black engine & combi.

Video is unfortunately gonna have to wait, as everything's disassembled in the basement, but I'll see what I can do.  Thanks for the comments so far!

The PRR, NYC and L&N are here - just arrived - and I have extras of each. One Conrail OCS too.... The last B&N left a few minutes ago.... Still $100 off MSRP.

Mine are on their way from Legacy Station. Will post a picture when they arrive.

A couple of my posts appear to have been deleted. Hope no one was offended by my admittedly off-topic pro-Purdue Boilermaker post. Apologies if so.

Also thanks to CentralFan1976 for the picture of a souvenir glass from the Boilermaker marathon in Utica NY. Being that I grew up 10 miles east of there it's always been a race on my bucket list. One day...

It’s funny because I always say two things... one; everyone’s from Central NY. (I’m from New Hartford, and live in Rome)

Never apologize; it’s a sign of weakness.  It’s a free country and as long as you can both give and take a joke, we’ll be good friends!

thanks, Doc!

(I wonder how many kids nowadays even know who Bunsen Honeydew was, or Alf, or Mr. Wizard, or any good TV actually is?)

The E8’s are in and they look great!  Yes our store is an hour west of Utica, so if you are in town for a future Boilmaker Race, stop in and check out us out.

Definitely will! Enjoyed meeting Tom L. down at York to purchase some of the estate items you are managing. Those in the Central NY area are lucky to have you all as a local hobby shop.

Fresh off the UPS truck from Pat's.  Look great!  Maybe this will motivate me to finish the work on the basement room & get a loop of track back up & running.

Hadn't seen other E8 posts yet, so I figured I'd start.

Hey, Neil

Thanks for the plug, I think these look pretty good. We still have a couple in stock plus the new Mikados.

Thanks

Pat

I am very pleased with my new Lionel 6-84088 New York Central E8 AA set.  The engine programmed easily and runs smoothly.  The gears were also lightly lubricated at the factory.  The tower start up sequence has a slight New York accent, but it is not prominent like the Vision Line GG1s.  They may use the same recordings on all of the new E8s.  I will have to wait for the Pennsylvania E8s to arrive to know for certain.  Now I am waiting for the Pennsylvania 21" passenger cars.  My NYC Empire State 21" cars will travel behind the NYC E8s.  I love passenger trains.  Dim the lights and watch the trains travel the rails tripping lighted signals as they move around the layout.
