MrMuffinsTrains website shows Tru-Color Paint available for pre-order in five New Haven Railroad colors including TCP-036 (New Haven Warm Orange), TCP-039 (New Haven Socony Red), and TCP-040 (New Haven Red/Orange). For the handrail, I would try to bend it back into alignment, apply a dab of epoxy to the broken end to secure it to the longer section, and then paint it with one of the colors listed above. However, I've had these colors on pre-order for months and haven't been notified that they are available for purchase.

That’s an odd looking break. Usually the handrails run straight into the cab. Is the long portion of the handrail and stanchions bent out?

Like Mel suggested, clean up the area with a small file and use some JB Weld epoxy to reattach the railing once you get the alignment correct.

Tru-color paints are usually very good when it comes to matching colors, especially on MTH engines. Availability is an issue.

Badger does make a New Haven Warm Orange paint. It is for airbrushing, but you can use a paintbrush and do a few coats to get decent touch up coverage…
