Agreed. I wonder what it is? Something Strasburg?
On their FB page now, don't see anything... Never done FB Live, so I don't know what I'm looking for.
I don't do Facebook (I don't have an account), and I could not see anything different either. Is FB Live some other site or something???
So Hope somebody that knows this FB can post for all of us train guys who don't do social media.
Technical Difficulties.
Not seeing anything either and when I searched for it, it took right back to the same FB page account.?
They just posted, having technical difficulties!
NYC Niagra!
Vision Line Niagara, Facebook is acting up a bit but you could see it.
It's the Niagara!
It's a Niagara
It's up on Lionel's website now.
Neal Jeter

Just hit play and "not now" for when the fb banner pops up.
Lionel just posted a YouTube video of the Niagara...
Ok now we can have one to run while the Century Club one sits on the display shelf.
I will ask Dave Olsen if Lionel might consider a rework of the century club Niagara gears in their repair shop, now that parts may be available from the new Vision Line program.

If I heard correctly the VL Niagara has a completely different drive system than the Century Club Niagara. Additionally, they have replacement gears available for the Century Club version.
Lionel has had new replacement gears for CC version for awhile. Mike Regan worked on them when he was there. Part # 620-806-9900

Those are some really cool features!
Good news about the CC club replacement parts. So I was hoping for a factory refurbish program but I guess may be able to find someone to do this .
I just watched the video and the Vision line offering has a lot of great features. Noticed in the presentation that there seems to be several road numbers available. They did mention the new Gear box for the CC club owners.
I would hope that Lionel would consider doing a 21 inch car set for the 20th Century limited , 1948 version. complete with the signature Hickory Creek.

I'll second that!
Doug
Mike Regan for sure listen to the customers wants/needs...................................JMO!
I told you so!!!! It was a NIAGARA!!!!
As an NYC fan, it's about finching time!
I'm really excited to see all the new features on this awesome engine that couldn't have come back sooner. The water scoop spray feature is probably going to be the most intriguing.
Put my name on the order list
Need a price first.
Why I like the look of my 3rdrail Niagara better than this diecast one. All the new features make want to trade up. Any idea on the price?
Very interested in the coupler / labor feature and the water scoop feature...the engine not so much. I'm glad for those who wanted it. Enjoy.

Likely $2000.

Pricing will be announced when the locomotive is catalogued in the 2018 Volume 1 signature catalog.
Niagara. Drat. Now I have to Want It. Complications and all.
But - it will be nice to see The Best Steam Locomotive Ever Built presented properly in 3RO.
Barring, you know, things...

Maybe it's just me but, in my opinion the Sunset/3rd Rail version is far better detailed, and I even prefer it over my other NYC Niagara from MTH.

Replacement gears have been available for a year now . Try contacting forum member Alex M. He has replaced a few, as well as done a four chuff upgrade and synchronized puffing smoke.
Its just another remake. Big deal, added features. That is NOT what Vision Line is supposed to be about. Not even remotely interested.
The video announcement on YouTube is well done-professional.
Kudos to Lionel for the effort vs the GG1 announcement...
Thanks glad the NYC crowd is pleased/happy. Long time coming for them.
This NYC Locomotive should be a really neat, fun to run Steamer. Although a similar version to the Century Club 2 Model, with all of the new features, new running gear, and blue tooth capable, especially the three speaker sound system, I am pleased. Whistle steam, the tender water scoop spray effect, 80 MPH operation, and all the other Legacy features, if price is fair, I may be a player....TBA....Thank You Lionel.
The Selkirk front end gives all locomotives of that class the look it is really, really constipated! Or really, really in pain. Or lastly a Steampunk project which really, really went wrong!

"Debbie Downer" bounced over here from another, very negative thread to take an additional swipe at Lionel's announcement.
I was enjoying the positive atmosphere of this thread.
Thanks to those posting some informative, positive information.
(BTW, I was at the Museum this afternoon and the loc is going to make a number of operators very, very happy.)
