Just joined with you folks on OGR and just moved into Tinplate after doing G-scale a number of years.  I've been a reader of OGR for a while.  I recently purchased a new Lionel Brute.  I suspect some of you remember the DaveClarkLumber YouTube video referenced above from 2012.  I'm interested in the pony wheel modification by adding them front & rear to the Brute.  Anyone else done this?  For the life of me, I can't identify what pony or pilot trucks were used for this mod.  They look very short from the normal ones (2-2.5 inches).  I'm guessing one of you long-time experts can pick out what was used very quickly.  I'm almost wondering if they were rear trucks off some locomotive.

Anyway, thanks for any assistance you can provide.  I love my move to tinplate.  Also, feel free to criticize my desire to mod the Brute if you want.  It's beautiful huge unit already, but seems like it has a lot of empty space underneath in front and behind the main drive wheels where pony wheels could look interesting.  Thank you and look forward to more conversations.  Bruce
