I keep posting under the MTH post about what got released this week to dealers. I figure I should create my own post to further any discussions.
Let me say at first look, this engine was amazing. I have plenty of engines yet I don't get this impression with many.
I had problems at the start. My layout seemed to work fine before and when this engine hit the rails, things started going south. She drew higher amps and slowed in several areas of the layout. I raised the voltage and added a power drop to the worse area. She smoothed right out.
So my first attempt at videos was stopped until I fixed the layout. Now I will post more with her running. I still need more power drops in at least 2 areas.
This one has the main stack's smoke volume turned to low so we can see the smoking whistle better
On this run by video, the main smoke is turned back up to high. Our grandson is running her from the phone app. He has been a big influence on what engines I purchase. He's a big UP steam fan.
