I imagine it will be New York Central's jade green or close to it.  I have to admit, that color design is speaking the loudest to me.  Reminds me of the futuristic 1950-60's era.

Very Nice looking sets.

Anyone able to tell me the height of the Risers the monorail hangs on and the distance from table top to bottom of monorail car. Trying to figure out if these will ride over existing tracks without problems.

Also can bases be used in either 90 degree placement or do the risers only fit in one way.

I'm on the fence on this one. I still think that a much nicer and more detailed O-scale monorail could be manufactured.  This looks like the opposite of trying to do that. The large outboard motor, the frosted windows, the over-sized "monorail"  double track and support is not that nice to look at.

I guess I'm still loving Disney's  interpretation of the "Monorail".

I hope these measurements will help:

Top of base to bottom of monorail is just over 5 7/8"

Bottom of base to bottom of monorail is 6 1/2"

Tubular track sitting on top of base gives about 5 1/4" clearance

Height of the monorail track is about 10 3/4" above layout base

     The monorail base support is 3 1/4" wide. X  7 1/8" long

My 263 engine has clearance sitting on the tubular track

Last weekend at the train show in Ontario, CA, I saw a Standard Gauge Engine running under a monorail with just a fraction on clearance.

If you would like any other measurements, let me know. I should be up for another hour.

Actually Bob your measurements helped a lot. I made a template of the base and I think I can have it run over the race car set. If I could shoe horn in the race car set I'll get the monorail in!

Charlie,

I cannot provide evidence, but I believe at least one pair of switches have turned up in the wild. It is possible that they were the prototypes, but the Leland catalog shows the switches in a set, and the person who saw the switches described the construction and operation with enough detail to make me believe they were production items.
