MTH's Premier Camelback is a real nice die-cast model - albeit the gap between engine and tender needs to be shortened via shorter drawbar - which is available for sale separately. I have the original PS2 version - it has a very small speaker and low sound volume - even when turned to highest setting (tender is very small). I was curious if anyone has the newer PS3 version - and if the sound system was improved or any other improvements besides elimination of battery?

I also would like to know, I have the MTH P3 Camelback from the run before the latest run, and its sound is outright weak!!! The 44 tonners have way better sound volume. I was hoping they improved the sound volume and quality in the most recent run of MTH P3 Camelbacks. Would be great to know.

I noted the price increase on the latest run of scale Camelbacks - maybe that has hurt sales?
I have the 20-3666-1 (B&O), sound is excellent, volume is set below max and that is loud enough.
Joe - sound is much improved over my PS2.0 version - thanks for sharing video.
Joe, Thanks for the video, wonder if it is a software down load that is better or hardware ? I do not think my P3 from a run before the latest, sounds that good.
Thanks
Just searched Utube, You know it wasn't mine!
If you have another PS3 with a different sound set than you can swap it out.

This works well and I have done it multiple times. I have also switched sound sets when bored with a particular one or when one wasn't quite what I wanted. I think I have around 5 sound sets I have used on my GS4 4449.
