Spectacular craftsmanship, Alan. I'd have a hard time letting it go once completed.
The video helped in understanding the process of unloading Lakers and clearly illustrates how massive these pieces of machinery are.

Amazing video. Even more amazing craftsmanshi.
Beautiful project, sure coming along nicely.
I agree with all the complimentary posts on your work on this model. Really neat model.
I agree too; it's fantastic!
Superb!
How are you going to ship it?
Looking good, Alan.

Ray/Spence,
I am delivering this one myself. The fellow lives in Connecticut. I have to go there and see all the structures that I have built him over the years and also see and ride on his outdoor layout.
Alan Graziano
Wow. That is a big structure and the details are great Alan! Terry
Yep!
Absolutely fantastic! Nice job. I suggest you add an operator in the cab by the shovel since this is a unique feature of the prototype.
Fantastic!
Peter
It was worth coming back to the forum just for this thread!
Roo.
Alan - Excellent!
Joe
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I am getting close on the model now. I have to paint the loader and add some lights. I may add a handrail on the platform on the vertical boom even though the ho model was not done that way. Thank you all for following the construction and thank you for all the nice comments.
Alan Graziano
Alan; by any chance does this fellow live near the Newington area?
Alan - Fantastic job! Incredible detailing.
Art
I am in awe, a great build.
Dave
Quite simply: extraordinaire et beau!
May I stack another SWEET, on top of the kudos and add, If not a master modeler you should be!!!!!!
That is one cool model & keeps getting better as you go along.

Spence,
The customer lives in Torrington.
I hope to paint it tomorrow and add the cables and lights.
Alan Graziano
Alan Off the charts AWESOME!!! How many hours you have in this project?
Steve
I have to say that is probably the most impressive styrene scratch-build I've ever seen. I was going to ask what actually powered that thing and then you mentioned about cables. It was strictly "old school" operating like the old power shovels. I'd love to see a video of how you layout and cut all that plastic.
Alan, your work is amazing.
Simply superb craftsmanship on a grand scale! Wow. Terry
Here are some pictures of the completed model less some lights I will add to the track section. The photo date is off because I replaced the batteries in my camera. The larry car and ore car are mounted in place. I can take some underside photos if anyone wants to see those details.
Steve,
I did not keep track of the hours because I did not work continuously on this model. By building this way, I was able to think about the problems I encountered and solve them in between actual building sessions. I have found this method to work well on complex models.
Alan Graziano
Alan, you never stop to amaze me of your building skills and the various types of models you build….One of your finest achievements…You are truly a master…!
Thanks Dennis
Dennis nailed it. I had no idea how large it was and seeing it fully assembled is incredible. There is a LOT of detail! Fantastic job! Terry
Alan, that model is an absolutely unbelievable scratch build. once again you've done an incredible job.
Alan,
Bravo!!!! I love it!
Dave
Alan,
Wow, Just outstanding work!
Very Nice.

ALan, I hope you could ask your customer permission to photograph those "other" structures that you have done for him over the years. It would be nice to see them and the capabilities that you offer to the marketplace!
PRR; according to Steve he's a private person so I don't think you'll see any photos.
I have been following this build and it has been a pure delight! Alan, this has to be the best model I have seen you do. Wish I had the room for something like this as I have always been fascinated by this big machine....looks almost like a dinosaur!!
Thanks,
Alan
