I just got into tinplate trains about a year ago. It quickly became a bit of an addiction. I'm always looking for new things to add to my layout. Here is my current layout. Let me know what you think.

Very nice layout- you've definitely captured the tinplate feel.
Welcome to the forum. You'll find a ton of info here and many tinplaters who are quick to share their knowledge and love of toy trains.

very nicely done. Love the tinplate, and welcome!
MBA,
Welcome to the Tin Plate world and your layout is fantastic, some serious accessories
on it and I like your use of the RealTrax, very very nice. The addiction grows and can become very very expensive!

Love the reverse inside rail shot of the elevated cast engine .
If it wasn't for Minnie & Mickey Id have to double take to guess an era.
Tin trees, and shrubbery would wake it up a bit!(ni!)
Edit: not two, not four, but three
Good Job

Welcome, it looks like you are off to a great start. Once this hobby gets a hold on you it will not let go. I am not sure if you are a TCA member but you will love York. It's a great place to find trains and meet other forum members.
Welcome to the forum MBA. That is one fine tinplate layout you have there! Great video. Enjoyed it very much.
Nice layout! are you running MTH?
Nice layout! are you running MTH?
Hi Brian,
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I'm running a combination of original Lionel cars from the 1930's with the newer Lionel Corporation Tinplate engines and cars by MTH. The elevated train is all original Lionel from the late 1940's (it was my Dad's set).
Wow Joe! That is an amazing collection you have. Lots of great trains. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
nice - love the layout and the many things on the walls

Thanks Rdeal,
I made the wall out of some pieces of scrap wood I had laying around and I tried to match the color to some of the traditional vivid tinplate colors. The signs are all retro ads from Detroit (Vernor's, Fordson, etc.) and Michigan, where I am from. Champ's Pub is a local place that my wife and I like to go to in Brighton, Michigan.
Welcome to the forum. The tinplate bug got me too a few years ago.

gene,
I never buy off e-bay, however if you list it in the OGR For SALE section I just might purchase the Custom Tin Plate Diner from you outright, I really like it.
