I did a ERR upgrade (AC commander) train runs fine. but my sd90 is #1 the F3 is also #1 I powered off the track left only the f3 on the track put it in program turned on track power. hit eng+2 then set. Aux1 + 6 for the code. then powered off the track put it back in run. tried it out but it was still on # 1

any suggestions. is there a list of TMCC options some where.  I ended up doing the same thing to the sd90 and changed it's ID to 2 and it worked.

I also have to spin the dial a lot now t get the engine's to move. did I do something wrong.

I'm a bit confused by your post. Is it the ERR upgrade thats not programming or another TMCC loco?

At any rate, TMCC locos typically are programmed  by:

1. Put Run/ Prgrm switch to program, power up loco.

2. Press ENG, your desired i.d#, then set, whistle will blow.

3. Remove power and put switch in run position, repower and address it with the new i.d.#

If your referring to "the steps you did" as the steps in your first post, try mine. Your steps have extra keystrokes that Lionel has never used when programming. Even the newset legacy locos are programmed the way I indicated.

I'm not familiar with whether or not ERR takes programming differently but its worth a shot.
