Yes, the Pittsburgh Independent Hi-Railers will be back at Kennywood for Holiday Lights!
This is our biggest setup of the year. Last year, the park had over 60k+ people come through the gates, and considering that we are in the only heated building, it is almost certain that most of those people came in to check out the layout and warm up a little.
We have been looking forward to this for months, as it is a lot of fun and a great chance to get O gauge trains in front of a lot of people who don't normally go to train shows.
The park does a wonderful job of decorating and running this event, and being in the park with all of the lights is almost magical, and it is even better when there is a little snow on the ground.
It is a lot of fun, and it looks like the park has been listening, as Holiday Lights now has a "mini season pass" for those that want to come more than once. I can hardly wait!

Great news
I never knew about this event and I'm looking forward to it

This year will be only the third time for this event. With the crowds they had last year, I think this will be an annual event for years to come.
Here is a link to Kennywood's Holiday Lights Page with all the details.

Guys.
Looks great. I hope I make it out this year.
Now I'm really looking forward to it!
I just gotta get there this year, living just 30 minutes away and all. Why haven't I gone - dummy me.
Andy, your club does such a great job promoting the hobby. Know what I personally like best?? EVERYONE in your club has an enthusiasm about toy trains that is contagious!

Thanks, Walt!
We have so much fun running trains for the public that we can't help being enthusiastic about it.
