I could afford to buy the lionel Bigboy but elected not to. However if mth keeps towing the line on their prices I would certainly consider buying theirs. 1400 with passenger cars I think was the last one you could get. Are many of you waiting for mth like me. I hope they have one in their next catalog. John
If MTH would come out with some smoke effects such as blow down and whistle I think they would give Lionel a run for their money. I have a railking Bigboy proto3 and I love it. Its a great engine for the price, but I am one of the many that has preordered the Visionline Bigboy. I would consider another MTH but I think they need a few more features (for my taste)
