In the second pic, I helped build the bridge in the foreground. That's a model of the 3rd Avenue bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. The bridge behind that is the James J Hill stone arch bridge. It was built off site by a couple of other club members and set into place in one piece. Then I painted every stone by hand. The ballast on the bridge was made from actual ballast taken from the real bridge and hand crushed. My arm was sore after that. That was over 20 years ago.

 

In the third pic, I built the roundhouse from scratch. I was given a plywood cutout of the footprint. The walls are made of plexiglass then skinned with brick embossed plastic.
