Honsetly, if any of these big 6 merge, the STB should make many of these regional rr's access to major markets such as trackage rights for NYSW to Chicago, BM&R to St.Louis and New York, MRL to Spokane, Portland and Seattle, Wisconsin and southern to Chicago and St. Louis etc. any major American city with only one rr to service should have competition from another and not be locked into one rr.
