It's a great commercial for NS and the future of rail service, but wouldn't a Lionel commercial be sweet that transitions from B/W footage of a kid running early postwar trains using a conventional transformer (very lighthearted) to COLOR and the same kid today running the Legacy command control (dramatic angles and lighting), showing moving bells, blow-down effects, train and tower chatter, smoking pouring from diesels and steamers etc. I'm not sure a majority of kids even know toy trains exist anymore outside of Thomas. And sure - the best details are in the higher end trains - but it might get some folks into the hobby shops to at least inquire. You know how hard it can be getting kids out of a store empty handed.
Years ago Lionel had a commercial with the tag line "Why Just Give a Toy When You Can Give A Tradition - LIONEL". How's that Nintendo-64 holding up for you?
Enough said.
