Want to say what a great listen this past Notch 6 was with Derek and Skip Natoli.

Listening to Skip speak about the influences from his youth it’s pretty easy to see all across this land, toy/model trains provide a unique bond. Speaking how the layouts of the past seemed WAY larger than they really were, or the glow of the green lights from the ZW, all brought back fond memories, weather you’re in New York, Chicago or any place else, the magic lure of toy trains is definitely universal.

The story about hopping a slow train to get to the pool hit very close to home for me as well.

Maybe one of these years I can make it to New York for a guided tour with the Natolis...

Thanks again Derek and Skip. Have a great New Year.

Hi Charlie.

I hadn't heard about Notch 6 until Derek asked me to be a guest. But all I can tell you is that I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Derek for that hour. It was just like two "train buddies" talking trains. You are right, there is a unique bond among train lovers and no matter where we are from, we share many of the same childhood experiences.

I would love to hear about some of your childhood train memories in the Chicago area, especially at Christmas time.

And absolutely try to make it to New York City during the Christmas Season. We can always arrange a tour.

Happy New Year!
