I have 4, very old, Lionel O-27 uncoupling/unloading remote control tracks. I want to use them for only the uncoupling feature and also want them to operate them from a single pole, single throw momentary, push button (doorbell button equivalent) to be mounted on a layout diagram control panel that i am building. Can any of you great electrical Guru's post a wiring diagram showing what 2 of the wires coming from the track operate the uncoupling feature that will satisfy the specifications that I described?

Thank you.

Need some more information: Do you have some of the older electromagnetic couplers with the sliding contact shoes or just the newer type that just need a magnet to operate?

@trainman129

There are only 3 or 4 with the old electromagnetic couplers that are rarely run. The rest (40 or 50) cars with modern couplers.

Thank you for your reply to my question.

Hi Randy,  I see that you are a digital subscriber.  I remember a Jim Barrett article when he was building his last layout, that showed how to remove the magnets and place them into the track he was using in his new layout (i think it was Gargrave).  We miss Jim.  I will look to see which back issue that article resides and let you know.

Best, Dave
