As someone who has spent many of nights in Dayton, there is nothing Ogauge. Go over to the Pine Club on Brown St and get a great steak! AS said earlier the nearest O gauge is the place in Mason, about 45 min south..
As far as O gauge, there is nothing I can think of in Dayton. Specifically for O, a couple of options are the Dixie Union Station in Mason, about a 30 minute drive South and Dunham's Toy Trains in London, about 45 minutes East. Both carry all the major brands, but I think Dunham's has more stock on hand. For all gauge model railroading, there is The Whistle Stop Train Shop in Troy, about 20 minutes North. Haven't been there in a while, so I don't know what their O gauge stock is like. In Springfield, about 30 minutes East, is DLH Locomotive Works. This is mainly an HO shop. He carries Lionel track and a couple of O gauge rolling stock. People also bring in consignment, so a couple of times I have found a few gems (Original Girls set, O-22 switches.)
Of interest might be Carillon Park. Here is a link:http://cprss.org/. They also have some trolleys and a switcher from Dayton on display in the museum.
Thanks everybody for the info!!

Watch where you walk I got a jay walking ticket in Dayton
My wife is from Dayton and my in-laws still live there. I'll give a big second to Cincytrains; definitely go to the Pine Club for a steak and some of the black bread. You will forget trains for a while.

Or if you like seafood, Jay's n the Oregon District. Is Smitty's Hobby Shop still around in Kettering?
Yes, Smitty's is still there. I went there in Feb..IT is all HO and N with alot of models. They used to be a big Lionel dealer back in the day, I'm not sure what happened. When I was a student at the Univ of Dayton, I would go there and get the Lionel catalogs and CTT. But that was in the late 80's and early 90's..
Same here - and Far Hills Station which I think was in Oakwood.
Cincy - miss Milano's?
