A couple of days back my O Gauge Guy website was hacked by someone most likely from Russia. Whatever has been done, it appears to be harmless, but annoying all the same. The hack apparently tries to redirect a visitor elsewhere.

My webmaster has matters in hand, apparently some website security company in the US will next week clean the entire site then upgrade security to the site. My webmaster says this is now getting very common.

Hope you get it sorted out soon  This is what I get when I click your link:

Reported Attack Page!

This web page at www.theogaugeguy.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Attack pages try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system. Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.

Yes Bill, I get the same. Google's system is very good at detecting these things. How it works is way out of my league, but my webmaster says it will take a week to do the clean up. The alternative is to dump the site completely and rebuild from scratch. I'm taking the less expensive route, although apparently, I now have ongoing annual charges to keep the site secure. The whole thing really sucks. The good thing is I don't have a shop as such on the site.

Hi Dave, I'm really sorry to read about this attack. I know we have to expect this sort of stuff in this day and age. Not to mention all the talk about each attack making us stronger Bla, bla, bla. But, when this sort of thing happens I can't help but wont to choke these creeps.

Good luck getting it cleaned up buddy and I hope it has not hurt you in the pocket to much, later.
