O scale model of a heavy duty 8-axle 52 foot flatcar with standard underframe.

This is a scratchbuilt O scale 8-axle heavy duty general purpose flatcar typically used for MOW operations. The car is 18 inches (72 scale feet) in length over coupler faces. The model has "articulated" truck bolsters which allow operation on smaller radius curves and turnouts. This model has a 52 foot flatcar deck. It also could be used as a crane tender.

Note: The model as shown has a standard underframe. Another version of this same car has a "fishbelly" underframe.
