Gents

K Line AA units.......2 motors in each......K 28101......TMCC .....smoke.......no cruise.

When set as a pair the dummy does the following:

The DIR button activates the smoke unit in the dummy  ON/OFF.

The # 9 button activates the headlight ON/OFF.

I did a re-program but no luck.

Working on this for a friend and I have no idea what to do next.

Thanks in advance

Dave

What do you mean set as a pair?  Is there a harness between Lead A and this unit?  You need to remove both shells and trace wires between units.

Does the unit run when you hit the direction button?  It could be the smoke unit is powered off the motors and so when the motors have voltage the smoke comes on and when in neutral no smoke.  The #9 button could be that the R2LC is configured as a diesel with Cab light.  So #8 and 9 turn CAB Light on and off, but for the dummy the Cablight is the headlight.  Just guessing here, but tracing wires to pinouts is what is required.  G

Thanks George

The AA are linked with the familiar K Line plugs (8 pin I think).

The powered A operates just as you would expect early TMCC to work....#1 and #4 volume.....#8 and #9 smoke ect.

Direction works with both units tethered together but the dummy headlight is not on when going in it's direction........instead of the headlight coming on in the dummy the smoke unit does when the DIR is hit with the dummy as lead.  The #8 and #9 turn the dummy headlight off and on.  But if you do this then the smoke unit in the powered will of course go off and on.

Hope I'm not too confusing here.............I've just never seen this before.

Dave
